AlphaGov delivers public-sector consulting for cities, counties, school systems, special districts, utilities, and related agencies. Our work spans classification and compensation, organizational and operational studies, research and program evaluation, economic and workforce analysis, surveys and community research, and applied data and infrastructure research.
We engage experienced practitioners as project-based collaborators. Engagements are remote-first with occasional client travel. When you authorize it, AlphaGov may name you as an expert collaborator or key personnel on proposals that match your expertise. AlphaGov is engaging a Higher Education Regulatory Systems Modernization Consultant for current state work. A state education department is modernizing the systems that support its office of college and university evaluation.

What you'll do

Assess academic program registration, institutional review, and evaluation workflows

Define requirements for case/workflow modernization

Advise on data migration, public portals, and integrations

Support implementation planning and change management

Contribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when you authorize naming

Required

At least 5 years of professional experience in higher-education regulation, accreditation, or state education IT modernization

Requirements and business-process analysis experience

Comfortable as a 1099 project-based consultant

Nice to have

NYSED or state higher-ed agency experience

Low-code case management platforms (Salesforce, ServiceNow, Dynamics)
