Job title: HGV Technician - Nights - Inverness
About the Role AB Volvo is seeking a qualified HGV Technician to join the Inverness team on a night shift. The role supports repairs, diagnostics and servicing to Volvo procedures, with a night schedule of 2100hrs to 0715hrs and four nights per week.
What You'll Do
- Carry out repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures, safely and responsibly.
- Assist in fault diagnosis and diagnostic activities.
- Service customer vehicles and complete service sheets.
- Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV license).
- Assist with roadside breakdowns.
- Process all relevant paperwork relating to jobs accurately.
- Ensure all vehicle defects are reported.
- Keep workshop facilities, equipment and tools clean, tidy, and well-maintained.
- Help develop trainees and apprentices.
- Be ready for progression within Volvo.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified HGV Technician with NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or City & Guilds/apprenticeship equivalent).
- Hands-on workshop experience with HGVs.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to coach others.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Organised and proactive with a strong focus on customer service.
- Flexible team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

- Earnings 45k to 70k per year, plus overtime at time and a half or double time.
