About the Role Join AB Volvo Aberdeen as a professional HGV Technician on dayshift with occasional backshift to cover holidays. This role offers the opportunity to participate in our Light to Heavy Conversion Course and to work on a range of trucks at Volvo Trucks Aberdeen. What You'll Do
- Carry out regular MOT service inspections on a wide range of manufacturers’ trucks and diagnose faults
- Carry out repairs to high standards on engines, gearboxes, brakes, suspension systems and more according to Volvo procedures
- Service customer vehicles and complete service sheets, and road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV license)
- Assist with roadside breakdowns and support the development of trainees and apprentices
- Ensure paperwork is accurate, keep workshop facilities tidy, and report vehicle defects What We're Looking For
- A Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
- Previous experience on HGVs or completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry
- Willingness to be considered for Light Vehicle Mechanics to participate in the conversion course Nice to Have
- Interest in completing the Light to Heavy Conversion Course
- Flexibility to cover dayshift and occasional backshift when holidays arise Compensation & Benefits
