Help Fill Her Day with Music and Memories - Community Aged Care | ACVVS

HammondCare Volunteer Vacancies
Maroubra, New South Wales, Australia Posted Oct 16, 2026
Full-time

About this role

Share Stories, Smiles & Good Company

Some people have a wonderful way of making you feel welcome from the moment you meet them. This lovely lady in Maroubra is one of them.

She enjoys spending time outdoors, whether that's a gentle walk or simply sitting in the fresh air enjoying the day. A keen participant in bingo, hoy, balloon games and community activities, she loves having fun and sharing a laugh with those around her. Music is never far from her heart either, with a love of rock 'n' roll, blues and Latin tunes that often bring memories and stories to life.

Having lived in both Sydney and the Illawarra, worked in hospitality and grown up in a large family, she has plenty of experiences to share.

As the years have passed, opportunities for regular social connection have become fewer, and she would truly value having someone to spend time with. This role is flexible with 30-minute visits, weekly or fortnightly, any day of the week between 9:00am and 5:00pm.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
