Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst
We are looking for a Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst to provide dependable technical assistance for end users in Indianapolis, Indiana. This long-term contract position focuses on resolving day-to-day hardware, software, and access issues while delivering responsive support across Microsoft-based environments. The ideal candidate brings strong troubleshooting ability, clear communication skills, and hands-on experience managing service requests and desktop support tasks.
Responsibilities
- Provide front-line technical support for desktop, laptop, and Windows-related issues, ensuring timely resolution for end users.
- Investigate and resolve routine hardware, software, and account-access problems through effective troubleshooting practices.
- Manage incoming service requests, document issue details accurately, and track progress through ticketing systems such as JIRA and service desk platforms.
- Support user account administration activities, including access updates and directory-related tasks within Active Directory.
- Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft Windows 10 systems and standard business applications across user workstations.
- Assist employees with application support needs, including common productivity tools and Adobe Acrobat.
- Escalate more complex incidents when needed while maintaining clear communication with users and internal support teams.
- Contribute to desktop support operations by identifying recurring issues and recommending practical solutions to improve service quality.
Requirements

Hands-on experience providing help desk or desktop support in a detail-oriented IT environment.

Working knowledge of Active Directory for user account and access support tasks.

Proficiency supporting Microsoft Windows, including Windows 10 desktop environments.

Ability to perform basic troubleshooting for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

Experience handling service desk tickets and maintaining accurate issue documentation.

Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and common end-user application support needs.

Experience using JIRA or a similar ticket management system.

Strong customer service, organization, and communication skills.
