About the Role Operate a rubber-tired, skid steer, or crawler type tractor with a front scoop bucket to load materials, assist with excavation, and support batch plants. May use attachments in lieu of a bucket; ensure safe operation on site. What You'll Do
- Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers to operate machines.
- Load materials from stockpiles, assist with loading and unloading trucks.
- Signal truck drivers to position for loading.
- Avoid hazards such as utility lines, equipment, workers, and falling objects.
- Perform routine maintenance (oil, grease, and other servicing).
- Troubleshoot and adjust equipment.
- Other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- Ability to communicate in English (verbal and written).
- Able to move around a construction site, including climbing ladders and inclines; operate heavy equipment; lift up to 50 pounds.
- Heavy physical activity and outdoor work with exposure to weather.
