About the Role Join Our Purpose as a Heavy Duty Mechanic (Journeyman) at Trouw Nutrition, Otterburne, a Nutreco company. This role maintains a fleet of 17 truck and trailer units and ensures safe, reliable operation to support feed production.

What You'll Do

• Fleet Maintenance: Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair truck and trailer units to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Preventative Maintenance: Complete scheduled maintenance tasks, including inspections and service work, to minimize downtime and support operational efficiency.
• Mechanical and Electrical Systems: Repair and maintain hydraulic systems, tractor and trailer wiring, brakes, suspension, steering, and related components.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety procedures, workplace policies, and maintenance standards at all times.
• Maintenance Administration: Coordinate repair schedules, manage purchase orders, and keep accurate maintenance records using computer-based systems.

What We're Looking For

• Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification, or 2–3 years of equivalent experience gained through hands-on work, training, or education.
• Certification in ABS air brake systems.
• Class 1 driver’s license with air brake endorsement is preferred.
• Able to regularly bend, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work effectively with minimal supervision but also as part of a team.
• Passion for career and supporting the feed industry.
• Occasional on-call after hours and on weekends.
• Strong learning agility, accountability, integrity, teamwork, respect, and coachability.
