Job title: Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic
About the Role Based at our Geraldton depot, you’ll carry out preventative maintenance and repairs on our fleet of Mack and Volvo heavy multi‑combination vehicles in a modern, purpose‑designed workshop. You’ll be home after every shift and can choose between rosters to suit your lifestyle.
What You'll Do
- Maintain equipment in line with OEM specifications and compliance standards
- Diagnose faults accurately and safely
- Report emerging issues or faults to management
- Manage work orders and promptly respond to driver and workshop requests
- Complete documentation and input data accurately into systems
- Carry out preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicles within a brand new depot workshop
- Adhere to safety, quality, and process requirements
What We're Looking For
- C Class Driver’s Licence, or HR Licence (preferable)
- Minimum 2 years in maintenance & repair of heavy vehicle and/or trailers (Volvo & Mack preferable)
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate - Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic
- Experience in vehicle inspections and electrical repairs to heavy duty trucks and trailers
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical
- Current National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one
Nice to Have
- Heavy vehicle authorised examiner certification (desirable but not essential)
Compensation & Benefits
- $68.94 per hour + super + bonuses
- Up to $35,000 in retention bonuses over 5 years ($15k in the first two years!)
