Heavy Civil Inspector (Structures) - Onsite, Los Angeles, CA

About the Role You’ll join Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects as a Heavy Civil Inspector (Structures) supporting transit programs in California. This on-site role focuses on inspecting concrete structures, ensuring compliance with approved plans and applicable City, State and Federal standards, and collaborating with engineers, contractors and clients to keep capital projects moving safely and efficiently. What You'll Do

• Inspect concrete structures and items such as prestressed post-tension bridges, retaining walls, box culverts, sound walls, false work, CIDH piles, steel piles, anchor bolts, sheet piles, reinforcement, and soil nail walls.
• Ensure compliance with approved plans and codes and review structure shop drawings to verify contractual requirements.
• Perform field inspections and clarify plans; confer with Engineer of Record, clients or contractors on constructability questions.
• Recommend changes during constructability reviews and support the RFI process during construction.
• Attend weekly on-site construction meetings and provide photo/video documentation.
• Stay informed on new developments through seminars and training; build effective professional relationships with teammates and clients.
• Be onsite at client locations with day and night shift opportunities; some in-person time required for collaboration. What We're Looking For
• B.S. or higher in Engineering, Architecture or Building Construction, or an Associate’s degree with 1 year of paid professional experience, or EIT with 5 years of related experience, or 5 years of verified structural inspection experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of verified structural inspection experience.
• Bonus points for Caltrans and Metro inspection certifications; Highway experience with Caltrans.
• Knowledge of Caltrans and Metro policies and procedures related to quality; knowledge of standard plans, specifications, California test methods, and construction manuals.
• Knowledge of cast-in-place bridge work with hinges, retaining walls, precast girders, and CIDH piles.
• Strong verbal, written and oral communication; ability to multitask.
• CMIT, ACI, NICET, APWA certifications (preferred). Nice to Have
• Caltrans/Metro certifications and related highway experience as listed above.
• Familiarity with Caltrans/Metro quality policies and procedures.
• Additional certifications such as CMIT, ACI, NICET, APWA are a plus. Compensation & Benefits
