About the Role Light-it positions itself as the engineering and product partner that healthcare teams rely on to ship faster without trading away compliance, scale, or reliability. We partner with teams shaping the future of clinical, operational, and patient-facing software, delivering engineers fluent in FHIR, HL7, and enterprise reliability standards within regulated environments.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ship compliant, scalable software while upholding patient safety in HIPAA, HITRUST, FDA contexts.
• Build integrations with EHRs and interoperability layers, applying FHIR and HL7 expertise alongside reliability standards.
• Embed compliance into engineering from day one: manage BAAs, sub-processor disclosures, audit logging, and enterprise security reviews alongside data models and infrastructure.
• Reduce vendor risk and accelerate delivery by leveraging domain fluency, typically shortening learning curves and calendar time on major workstreams (4–6 weeks).
• Contribute to infrastructure and platform decisions that become strategic assets for healthcare customers.

What We're Looking For

• Experience delivering software for healthcare or regulated environments with an understanding of HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2 Type II, and GxP-adjacent quality processes.
• Proficiency with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7) and EHR integrations.
• Ability to embed compliance and security considerations into engineering workflows and product decisions.
• Track record of working with digital health, provider organizations, healthcare platforms, or pharma/medtech teams.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to operate across clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience across the healthcare ecosystem (digital health, providers, healthcare platforms, pharma/medtech) and familiarity with regulated product development.
• Prior work building or integrating with health information exchanges, APIs, or data infrastructure.
