About the Role Light-it positions itself as a strategic healthcare software partner with deep regulatory fluency including HIPAA, SOC 2, HITRUST, GDPR, HL7/FHIR, and full-stack delivery across strategy, design, engineering, and data. The role involves contributing to the development of healthcare software that emphasizes compliance, clinical context, and excellent user experiences.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to backend architecture, API development, frontend engineering, and cloud infrastructure for healthcare products, across the full delivery stack (strategy, design, development, QA, and growth).
- Collaborate with product, design, and client teams; understand the 'why' behind technical decisions and deliver secure, scalable, compliant solutions.
- Participate in discovery, planning, and ongoing delivery, including integration with EHR/HL7-FHIR workflows and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure quality, security, and compliance practices throughout development and post-launch stewardship.
What We're Looking For
- Experience building healthcare software with an emphasis on privacy, security, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, HL7/FHIR, etc.).
- Proficiency with modern tech stacks (e.g., Laravel, Python, Rails, React) and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong communication and ability to work with cross-functional teams and clients; track record of staying client-focused and delivering value.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and iterative delivery.
Nice to Have
- Experience with digital therapeutics, telemedicine, remote patient monitoring, EHR integration.
- Knowledge of AI governance in production and post-launch stewardship.
- Healthcare platform experience and familiarity with healthcare service options.
