About the Role A Healthcare Electrical Superintendent role focused on leading electrical teams on active hospital projects, ensuring patient safety and continuous operation while delivering high-quality electrical systems. What You'll Do
- Lead crews of up to 50 electricians on healthcare projects, including ground-up hospital construction and renovations in occupied facilities
- Plan work, develop and execute MOPs, and coordinate with Project Managers, Owners, Inspectors, and General Contractors to minimize disruptions
- Schedule work weeks in advance, mentor foremen, and maintain safety and QA/QC
- Coordinate with hospital staff and departments (ORs, ICU, NICU, Cath Labs, Imaging, Emergency) to ensure continuous operation and patient safety
- Oversee commissioning, turnover, and equipment coordination for life-safety, emergency power, and critical distribution
- Manage prefabrication planning and field efficiency improvements What We're Looking For
- Extensive healthcare electrical construction experience, including ground-up hospital projects and renovations in occupied facilities
- Experience with hospital shutdowns and electrical cutovers, plus strong leadership of large electrician crews
- Knowledge of NEC Article 517 and applicable healthcare standards; familiarity with Fire Alarm, Nurse Call, Telecommunications, Security, Lighting Controls, life-safety systems
- Ability to read blueprints and specifications; strong prefab experience and ability to drive field efficiencies
- Experience with generator systems, emergency power, critical power distribution; operating rooms, ORs, Cath Labs, MRI, CT, Imaging, ED, ICU, NICU, L&D, and other spaces
- Excellent planning, scheduling, and communication; problem-solving and mentorship mindset; OSHA 30 preferred Nice to Have
- Infection control requirements (ICRA) and experience working in occupied healthcare environments
- Shutdown planning and execution, commissioning and turnover processes
