About the Role Health Navigators are key members of the San Francisco AIDS Foundation team, serving as the welcoming first point of contact and helping clients access HIV prevention, care, and related services. This role supports front-of-house operations, coordinates referrals, and assists with benefits and entitlements to promote ongoing engagement in services. What You'll Do
- Greet and engage clients and visitors in person and by phone
- Assess needs, provide accurate information and referrals, and guide clients to appropriate internal programs or external resources
- Register clients and check them into appointments as needed
- Maintain a clean, welcoming, and safe front-of-house environment at 940 Howard Street and 470 Castro St
- Provide de-escalation and crisis intervention support with trauma-informed, culturally competent approach
- Collaborate with nursing, clinical, housing, financial benefits and other Programs teams for referrals and linkage; coordinate follow-up and co-manage care plans What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent and 4 years of relevant experience in community health, sexual health education, benefits navigation, and customer service
- Experience with priority populations (Queer, Trans, Gender Non-Conforming, BIPOC)
- Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
- Experience with data entry, service documentation, appointment scheduling, and administrative support
- Strong follow-through, problem-solving, and reliability
- Bilingual in Spanish and English Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly rate: $29.87 per hour
