About the Role Castle EAST School is a specialist provision for pupils aged 9-16 with autism and communication and interaction needs. We are seeking an exceptional Headteacher to lead the next chapter in the development of our transformational school, building on the school's Outstanding Ofsted record and shaping the future of Suffolk's distinctive educational community.

As Headteacher, you will provide inspirational leadership for the school community, continue to develop a culture of excellence, inclusion and belonging, and lead a dedicated staff team while working closely with families, governors, and external agencies within the EAST Trust. What You'll Do

• Provide inspirational leadership for the school community.
• Continue to develop a culture of excellence, inclusion and belonging.
• Ensure strong outcomes for pupils academically, socially and emotionally.
• Lead and develop a talented and committed staff team.
• Work in partnership with families, governors, the Director of SEND and external agencies.
• Champion the needs and aspirations of autistic children and young people.
• Drive continual improvement and innovation whilst preserving the values and ethos that make Castle EAST special.
• Play a key role within the wider EAST Trust family and contribute to Trust-wide developments in SEND and inclusion. What We're Looking For
• Proven experience in school leadership or senior leadership roles with a track record of raising standards.
• A strong commitment to inclusion, SEND and autism-focused education, with a focus on personalised learning and high aspirations.
• Ability to lead, develop and motivate a staff team and to work in partnership with families, governors and external agencies.
• Strategic vision to drive improvement while preserving the school’s ethos and values.
• Willingness to contribute to the EAST Trust and to trust-wide developments in SEND and inclusion.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare, with an enhanced DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK.

• Salary: £78,702 - £91,157 per year (full-time).
