Head Women's Wrestling Coach

About the Role The Head Women's Wrestling Coach at Bushnell University will direct all aspects of the women's wrestling program under the oversight of the Athletic Director. This part-time role operates within the university's academic, spiritual formation, and athletic philosophies, with an opportunity to achieve full-time employment by combining with another on-campus position. What You'll Do

• Direct all aspects of the wrestling program: including recruiting, scholarship distribution, spiritual formation, budgeting, scheduling, rules compliance, practice and game preparation, scheduling of contests, and supervision of assistant coaches
• Plan, organize, coordinate, and coach wrestling within the academic, spiritual formation and athletic philosophies of Bushnell University, local, and national conferences; verify eligibility of student athletes according to established regulations and procedures
• Provide a safe environment for training and competition for student-athletes and coaches
• Plan and organize team travel including transportation, lodging, and meals for away competitions
• Maintain and implement a training program for on and off season
• Organize and run practice sessions
• Hire, evaluate and supervise assistant coaching staff
• Conduct fundraising activities for the program (examples could include summer camp or raffle ticket sales)
• Assist in design and structure of wrestling training facility
• Assist with wrestling room infrastructure, management (scheduling) and cleaning
• Attend all Athletic Director and/or Vice President for Student Development assigned events and functions
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director What We're Looking For
• Experience directing all aspects of a collegiate wrestling program, including recruiting, scholarship distribution, budgeting, scheduling, and supervision of assistant coaching staff
• Ability to verify eligibility of student athletes according to established regulations; commitment to athlete safety and welfare
• Experience hiring, evaluating, and supervising assistant coaching staff; ability to conduct fundraising activities
• Ability to plan travel, manage logistics, and oversee wrestling facility infrastructure
• Familiarity with NAIA and Cascade Collegiate Conference; alignment with Bushnell University’s academic, spiritual formation and athletic philosophies Compensation & Benefits
