Head, Routing & Switching

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Head, Routing & Switching to provide strategic and technical leadership for the organization's core network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, security, performance, and continuous network optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy, design, deployment, optimization, and lifecycle management of routing and switching infrastructure.
• Maintain 99.99% network availability and ensure agreed performance and service levels.
• Lead network capacity planning, optimization, upgrades, expansions, and major infrastructure projects.
• Serve as the technical escalation point for major network incidents and drive timely resolution within SLA/MTTR targets.
• Ensure network security, redundancy, business continuity, disaster recovery, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and develop the CNP team through coaching, training, performance management, and technical development.
• Manage network CAPEX/OPEX, vendors, service providers, and network resources effectively.
• Drive network automation, continuous improvement, and adoption of emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with Network Operations, IT, Security, CX, and other stakeholders to support business requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• 8–10 years' relevant experience in network engineering, routing & switching, ISP/network operations, including leadership experience.
• Strong expertise in network architecture, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, VLAN, VXLAN, Layer 2/3, and high-availability networks.
• Proven experience with Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, or other major network vendors.
• Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, IPS/IDS, encryption, and Zero Trust principles.
• Experience with Ansible, Python, and network monitoring tools such as Nagios or SolarWinds.
• Knowledge of mobile core technologies including VoIP, LTE, and 5G is an advantage.
• Proven experience in network capacity planning, automation, disaster recovery, and major infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder-management, and communication skills.
• CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE, or equivalent certification is an advantage.
