Head of Technology

About the Role Lead technology delivery for Prescient Securities, focusing on C#/.NET, SQL and integrated business systems. You will work with business users and developers to understand requirements, investigate issues, validate outputs and deliver practical enhancements across web, desktop, service and Excel-based solutions. The role also embraces AI-assisted tooling and cloud-enabled delivery practices. What You'll Do

• Develop, maintain and enhance C#/.NET applications, services, desktop tools, integrations and internal business systems using SQL.
• Investigate production issues, data discrepancies and user queries using SQL, logs and debugging tools.
• Engage business users to clarify requirements, document processes, and translate needs into technical deliverables.
• Support functional/regression/UAT/testing, validation and sign-off across changes.
• Use AI tools to improve coding, testing, documentation, analysis and troubleshooting while applying data-sensitivity controls.
• Support cloud-hosted workloads and deployment activities with exposure to AWS services (S3, Lambda, ECS, EC2, RDS, CloudWatch).
• Investigate data, validate results and support reporting and operational processes through SQL and analytical thinking.
• Produce clear technical notes, user guides, process diagrams and reusable templates for ongoing enablement. What We're Looking For
• Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience with C#/.NET.
• Minimum 3 years' practical experience with SQL.
• Experience supporting or enhancing business applications in a production environment.
• Exposure to web applications, desktop applications, Windows services, APIs, integrations, or Office/Excel-based solutions.
• Experience with source control, debugging, testing, release practices and structured deployment support.
• Experience working directly with business users to clarify requirements, investigate issues, document outcomes and validate solutions.
• Comfortable using AI-assisted tools for coding, documentation, analysis, testing and problem solving.
• Relevant degree, diploma or equivalent practical experience in software development, information systems, data, engineering or a related technical field.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; good communication with technical and business stakeholders.
