Role Overview

• The Chief Technician is to provide leadership and direction for the setting up and maintaining of electrical infrastructure in the company.
• Due to the high amount of risk pertaining to this job, the job holder must be first and foremost be a responsible individual with great attention to safety precautions.
• The job holder must also be experienced in different kinds of electrical devices and systems.
• The Chief Technician is to oversee all the Technicians, Electricians and Engineers in Lagos

Key Functions/Responsibilities

• Electrical maintenance.
• Computer diagnostics on cooling units and generator.
• Supervision of technical team during mechanical and electrical emergencies.
• Daily inspection of electrical and mechanical machines and equipment.
• Supervision of ongoing technical jobs (both internal and external)
• Collation of daily meter readings and calculations of units used daily
• Attendance and presentation of occurrence within the technical department at the weekly managerial meetings
• Supervision the supply of diesel
• Installation of new electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Supervision of all the Technicians, Electricians and Engineers in Lagos.

Desired Knowledge, Competency and Skill Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• 8 - 10 years previous experience as an Engineer.
• Proven experience as an Engineer
• Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems
• Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints
• Thorough knowledge of electrical safety procedures
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Leadership skills
• Dedication to duty
• The job holder will work under the supervision of the external engineer and report to the CMD and Admin Manager but is also expected to use his/her initiative.
• The job holder will be responsible for sending report to the Admin Manager.

Salary

N400,000 - N450,000 monthly.
