Head of Technical Support

About the Role Head of Technical Support is a senior role that provides strategic and technical guidance, acting as a subject matter expert to support sales teams and customers. This role defines and executes the technical strategy as per the OpCo strategic goal. It reports to the Strategic Marketing Director and will lead Technical, Customer Lab Services and Applicator teams.

What You'll Do

• Provide technical and strategic guidance to account managers and sales teams.
• Offer on-site technical assistance, create customized solutions, and support sales with technical and marketing materials.
• Act as a subject matter expert on poultry feed supplements and conduct product demonstrations.
• Analyze data and customer information to develop solutions and drive initiatives.
• Collaborate with R&D and operations to align on projects and strategies.
• Train sales teams on technical aspects of the products.
• Stay updated on product research, market trends, and competitive developments.
• Lead and mentor technical teams and coordinate with sales, marketing, production, and procurement to align technical strategies with business goals.
• Plan, execute, and evaluate scientific and field trials; develop nutritionally balanced feed formulations; oversee quality assurance.
• Translate complex scientific data into accessible commercial formats; develop technical manuals, sales tools, and reports.
• Drive market intelligence to inform product development and go-to-market strategies.
• Champion continuous improvement of business processes and operational performance within the OpCo.

What We're Looking For

• Strong technical background in veterinary science, with a Masters or PhD preferred.
• Extensive experience in the poultry industry.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to define and execute technical strategy aligned with OpCo goals.
• Cross-functional collaboration experience with R&D, sales, and operations.
• Training and mentoring capabilities.
• Problem-solving and data analysis skills.
• Ability to translate science into practical feeding solutions.
