Job Summary
- We are looking for an accomplished and highly organised school leader to take responsibility for the administrative, operational and parent-facing functions of our premium nursery and primary school.
- This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for a polished professional who understands that excellence in a school extends well beyond the classroom.
- The successful candidate will bring strong leadership, sound judgement, exceptional organisation and a high level of professional presence to the day-to-day running of the school.
- Working closely with the school's leadership, the Head of School (Administration) will ensure that the school's non-academic operations are structured, efficient and consistently well managed, while creating a professional, responsive and reassuring experience for parents, pupils and staff.

The Role
The Head of School Administration & Parent Relations will take responsibility for the smooth coordination of the school's non-academic administrative and operational functions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day non-academic administration and operational coordination of the school.
- Leading parent-facing administration and ensuring a professional, responsive and well-managed parent experience.
- Managing the front office personnel, establishing clear standards, accountability and follow-through.
- Coordinating school events, activities and operational arrangements from planning through execution.
- Overseeing administrative communications, records, procedures and routine school processes.
- Coordinating operational matters involving staff, pupils, parents, suppliers and external service providers.
- Monitoring outstanding actions and ensuring that commitments and agreed tasks are completed promptly.
- Working closely with the School Leadership to support the smooth and effective running of the school.
- Handling sensitive matters with discretion, maturity and sound professional judgement.
- Identifying administrative or operational gaps and taking decisive action to resolve them.
- Maintaining a consistently high standard of organisation, presentation, communication and service across the administrative function.
Essential Experience
Substantial hands-on experience managing the administration and operations of a nursery and / or primary school is mandatory.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate significant practical management experience in a nursery and primary school environment, including responsibility for:
- School administration
- Parent relations
- Operational coordination
- Administrative teams and processes
- Day-to-day school operations
Management experience gained exclusively in secondary schools, tertiary institutions, corporate administration or other sectors will not be considered a substitute for relevant nursery and primary school experience.
The Professional We Are Looking For
- We are looking for a mature, dependable and highly capable school professional who brings both leadership presence and operational discipline.
- The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 7 years’ professional experience within a nursery and / or primary school environment, including at least 4 years in a leadership / management capacity. Experience must include meaningful responsibility for school administration, parent relations, operational coordination, staff management and the day-to-day running of a school.
- The minimum academic qualification is a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), or a Master’s Degree. Candidates with additional relevant professional qualifications, training or certifications in school leadership, management or administration will be an advantage.

- Brings the confidence and professional presence to represent the school appropriately when dealing with parents, staff, suppliers and other external stakeholders.
- Is highly computer literate and confident using modern school management applications, digital administrative systems and standard office productivity tools
- Is comfortable taking responsibility for ensuring that agreed actions are followed through and that operational standards do not depend on constant supervision.
