About this role
Head of Product Marketing — Enterprise AI Software
San Francisco, California | Marketing | Not Remote | $150,000 to $200,000 | Job ID: 182893
Job Summary
About the opportunity
Our client is a well-funded, growth-stage software company using AI to modernize how large enterprises plan their operations, with a focus on supply chain. Their customers have long relied on legacy planning tools that are expensive, slow to deploy, and hard to get value from. The company is building a better alternative and needs a product marketing leader to define how the market sees it.
This is a chance to shape the story of a company competing against entrenched incumbents in a large, growing market. If you enjoy challenger positioning and category-building, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
-
Messaging and positioning: Develop the company’s core positioning and make sure it carries through everywhere, from website and advertising to sales materials.
-
Product launches: Lead go-to-market for new products and features, including naming, value propositions, and launch plans. Build a repeatable launch process as the product line expands.
-
Industry storytelling: Create tailored narratives for the different industries the company serves, grounded in each buyer’s real priorities.
-
Campaigns: Partner with the demand generation team to plan and run creative, high-impact campaigns.
-
Thought leadership: Produce regular content that establishes the company’s point of view in the market.
-
What to expect
-
You’ll start as a hands-on individual contributor and have the opportunity to build a team over time. This role suits someone who likes broad ownership and is comfortable doing the work themselves. Early priorities include establishing the messaging foundation, launching a key product, and equipping the sales team, but you’ll be encouraged to shape the plan.
Qualifications
-
10+ years of B2B product marketing experience
-
Track record of launching new products, not only marketing existing ones
-
Experience developing positioning in competitive markets, with a clear sense of what worked and what didn’t
-
Ability to quickly learn technical subject matter and explain it clearly
-
Strong writer who enjoys creating content
-
Opinionated and motivated by building something new
-
Bonus: background in supply chain, operations software, or AI products
