Section: Overview The Head of Primary School will provide academic, pastoral, and operational leadership. The role oversees the delivery of the British curriculum, teacher development, safeguarding compliance, pupil progress tracking, and school-family engagement.
Section: Responsibilities
- Lead the primary section, ensuring rigorous delivery of the British curriculum and EYFS standards.
- Monitor pupil attainment, assessment data, and individual progress milestones.
- Supervise, evaluate, and mentor academic and support staff.
- Oversee staff appraisal, continuous professional development (CPD), and recruitment.
- Uphold strict safeguarding and child-protection protocols across the primary section.
- Manage parent communications, reporting systems, and parent-school partnerships.
- Ensure daily operational, administrative, and timetabling efficiency.
Section: Candidate Profile Experience: Minimum 8 years of teaching experience, including at least 3 years in primary school leadership. Curriculum Expertise: Demonstrable experience working with the British National Curriculum (EYFS to KS2). Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed) or relevant discipline; TRCN registration and leadership certifications preferred. Team Leadership: Proven track record managing teams of 15+ staff, including instructional coaching and performance appraisals. Operations & Tech: High proficiency in educational technology, school information management systems, and curriculum planning tools.
