About the Role Thomas Alleyne’s High School seeks an ambitious Head of Physical Education to set strategic direction for the PE department, lead the curriculum team, and support colleagues through expert subject knowledge, high-quality leadership and a shared commitment to excellence. The successful candidate will lead the teaching and development of Physical Education across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, including Core PE and BTEC Sport, and will drive outstanding student progress and attainment while promoting engagement in physical activity and sport. What You'll Do
- Lead the teaching and development of Physical Education across Key Stage 3, 4 and 5, including Core PE and BTEC Sport
- Provide strategic direction for the department, lead the curriculum team and support colleagues through expert subject knowledge and high-quality leadership
- Drive attainment and progress, secure excellent outcomes in BTEC Sport, and inspire more students to continue to Key Stage 5
- Lead a vibrant programme of extra-curricular activities and contribute to school-wide improvement initiatives What We're Looking For

- Salary on the TMS–UPS pay scale (full-time equivalent)
- Additional allowance: TLR 2.5 at £6,046 per annum
- Permanent, full-time role; can accommodate a job-sharing pattern as described
