About the Role We are seeking a Head of Outbound Logistics, Transport & Packaging to lead the end-to-end logistics optimization for Diehl. The role focuses on analysis, digitization and continuous improvement of end-to-end processes using Lean methods, standardization and automation, with responsibility for automated storage, handling and picking systems and external logistics providers, and SAP WM/MM/eWM. What You'll Do
- Analyze, digitize and continuously optimize end-to-end logistics processes using Lean methods, standardization and automation.
- Responsibility for automated storage, conveying and picking systems including performance and throughput optimization.
- Steering and further development of external logistics and transport service providers, including KPI tracking, contract management and escalation control.
- Functional and operational responsibility for SAP modules WM, MM and eWM and definition and further development of system and process requirements. What We're Looking For
- Successfully completed studies in logistics, mechanical engineering, transport or a comparable field.
- Several years of leadership experience (approx. 3–5 years) in a comparable position within logistics or supply chain.
- Very good English language skills for international collaboration.
- Solid knowledge along the supply chain, ideally with touches to purchasing and materials management (desirable).
- Strong analytical and conceptual abilities and experience in managing complex logistics processes and systems. Nice to Have
