A Snapshot of Your Day

As Head of Onsite Support Rest of World, you will lead and further develop the Onsite Support organization across the assigned countries and regions outside Europe. Together with your regional teams, local site stakeholders, Digital Services functions, and service partners, you will ensure reliable, secure, and customer-focused onsite support for Grid Technologies locations.

You will provide strategic direction while remaining closely connected to day-to-day operations, critical business requirements, and site-specific challenges. A key part of your role will be to establish clear responsibilities, harmonize service delivery, develop regional capabilities, and ensure that global standards are translated into effective local support.

Working in an international and highly diverse environment, you will balance business continuity, operational excellence, cybersecurity, cost efficiency, and the specific requirements of manufacturing, engineering, project, and office locations.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead and develop the Siemens Energy, Grid Technologies, Digital Services, Onsite Support (SE GT DS OSS) Rest of World organization, providing clear strategic direction, effective regional governance, and strong people leadership across a geographically distributed support organization.
  • Ensure stable, reliable, and customer-focused onsite support services for assigned Grid Technologies locations, with particular attention to business-critical manufacturing, engineering, project, and office environments.
  • Establish transparent service ownership, responsibilities, interfaces, and escalation paths between Onsite Support, business stakeholders, Digital Core functions, HUB organizations, cybersecurity teams, and external service providers.
  • Drive operational excellence through harmonized support processes, measurable service performance, effective resource planning, knowledge management, standardization, automation, and continuous improvement across the region.
  • Act as a trusted partner for regional and local management, translating business and site requirements into sustainable support solutions while supporting digital transformation, technology adoption, and organizational change.
  • Build a capable and engaged international organization by developing employees, strengthening regional leadership, enabling knowledge sharing, supporting succession planning, and fostering collaboration across countries and cultures.

What You Bring

  • A university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • Several years of leadership experience in IT operations, onsite support, digital workplace services, infrastructure support, IT/OT support, or a related service-delivery environment.
  • Proven experience in leading international, geographically distributed, and culturally diverse teams, preferably within a complex matrix organization.
  • A strong understanding of service management, operational support models, incident and escalation management, workplace technologies, infrastructure dependencies, asset lifecycle management, and service-provider coordination.
  • Experience in supporting manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or other business-critical operational environments would be a strong advantage.
  • The ability to define regional priorities, establish effective governance, monitor service performance through meaningful KPIs, and translate strategic objectives into practical operational improvements.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior business leaders, site management, technical experts, global functions, and external partners.
  • A sound understanding of cybersecurity, information security, compliance, risk management, and business continuity requirements in an international business environment.
  • A structured, pragmatic, and results-oriented leadership style, combined with strong decision-making, communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution capabilities.
  • Business-fluent English and the willingness to travel internationally as required by the role. Additional language skills are an advantage.
