About the Role Sphere by Crux is a fully managed external data integration platform for financial institutions. This role leads the data strategy and operations for Sphere by Crux to ensure timely, high-quality data with minimal overhead. Drive ingestion, transformation, validation, and 24/7 monitoring to accelerate time-to-insight and reduce operational risk. What You'll Do
- Lead design and standardization of external data ingestion, auto-validation, and schema detection.
- Oversee fully managed pipelines, 24/7 monitoring, health dashboards, and proactive issue resolution.
- Collaborate with product, security, and analytics teams to enforce SOC 2-compliant policies and optimize costs.
- Drive AI-driven automation for onboarding, profiling, transformation, and data quality checks across 200+ sources.
- Manage a dedicated support team to triage and remediate external data issues. What We're Looking For
- Proven experience leading data engineering teams and building reliable, scalable data pipelines for external data/integration.
- Deep expertise in ingestion, schema detection, automated profiling/validation, and data transformation.
- Familiarity with SOC 2 security standards and secure data delivery.
- Strong track record in AI-driven automation and fast onboarding of new data sources.
- Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration with product, security, and operations. Nice to Have
- Experience handling 200+ external data sources and complex financial datasets.
