Role Summary

• Oversee daily laboratory operations, perform routine and specialized tests, ensure accurate results and quality standards, maintain and calibrate equipment, supervise and train staff, manage inventory and budgets, keep records and ensure compliance, and liaise with clinicians and management.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the medical laboratory

• Perform and supervise routine and specialized laboratory tests

• Ensure accurate results and maintain quality standards

• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment

• Supervise, train, and mentor laboratory staff

• Manage laboratory inventory and budgets

• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulations

• Liaise with clinicians and hospital management

• Qualifications & Skills

• BMLS degree from a recognized institution

• Current MLSCN license (Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria)

• NYSC completed

• Minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience, including bench work and supervisory/administrative roles

• EMR proficiency.

• Strong analytical, technical, leadership, and communication skills.
