Job title: Head of Infrastructure Operations
Nscale is seeking a Head of Infrastructure Operations to lead the end-to-end operational management of our data centre portfolio across a defined region (EMEA, APAC, Americas). You will own the strategic direction of data centre operations and drive operational excellence, safety, compliance, and reliability across all physical infrastructure while scaling operations to support rapid growth. Regular travel to data centres is essential, and you will partner with senior leadership to deliver world-class infrastructure powering our AI cloud platform.
Lead the strategic vision and execution of data centre infrastructure operations across the region, ensuring alignment with business objectives and growth plans. Establish and maintain operational standards, processes, and procedures that drive efficiency, safety, and reliability across all sites. Develop and implement roadmaps supporting capacity planning, infrastructure scaling, and service delivery milestones; drive continuous improvement to optimize costs and reduce downtime. Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams across multiple data centre sites; establish clear accountability structures and development pathways. Oversee Datacentre Leads in day-to-day operations, from routine inspections to ITSM ticket handling, ensuring SLAs are met; coordinate with Datacentre providers for optimal facility performance. Maintain asset inventory and support the physical security program, audit trails, and incident documentation across all sites. Establish and maintain SLOs/SLIs for availability and incident response; lead incident response and root-cause analysis with remediation plans. Manage vendor and supplier relationships, procurement, and contract compliance; work with Supply Chain to ensure smooth hardware deployment and logistics. Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineering, Network Engineering, Security, Deployment, Finance, and Commercial teams to ensure operational readiness and align with capacity plans. Implement monitoring and analytics to track uptime, energy efficiency, cost per rack, incident rates, and other metrics; report progress to senior leadership and use data-driven insights to drive optimization.
10+ years of experience in data centre operations, infrastructure management, or facilities management at scale. Proven track record leading regional or multi-site operations in a high-growth, fast-paced environment. Experience managing teams across multiple locations and coordinating complex operational initiatives. Demonstrated success in scaling operations and improving operational maturity.
