About the Role Hyundai seeks a senior HR leader to serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, shaping organizational design, workforce planning, and change management. This role leverages HR analytics to inform decision-making, reports on HR strategy, programs, and metrics, and develops and implements HR strategies that drive business objectives and operational efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Provide strategic leadership and act as a trusted advisor to leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management.
- Develop executive-level reports related to HR strategy, programs, and metrics, and use HR data to measure program effectiveness.
- Develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives and operational efficiency.
- Lead Talent Management initiatives including talent acquisition, retention, onboarding, succession planning, and leadership development; partner with department leaders to identify training needs and implement development programs.
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR programs and policies; ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws and Hyundai Motor Group global policies; monitor compliance through audits, training, and policy updates.
- Oversee day-to-day employee relations activities, provide guidance to managers and employees, and administer the performance management process.
- Counsel leadership on associate relations best practices, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Global HR counterparts, particularly in South Korea, to support global programs and ensure alignment across cultures; adapt global initiatives to local practices while promoting global HR consistency.
- Lead, develop, and mentor the HR team, including HR Managers and specialists in Benefits, Training, HRIS, and Recruiting; foster an environment of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional growth.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a senior HR leader/strategic advisor with expertise in organizational design, workforce planning, and change management.
- Strong ability to develop executive-level HR reports and use analytics to drive decisions and measure program impact.
- Experience developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business objectives and drive operational efficiency; data-driven decision making.
- Talent management and development expertise across acquisition, onboarding, retention, succession planning, and leadership development; ability to partner with department leaders for training.
- Deep knowledge of HR program development, policy design, and compliance with employment laws and Hyundai global policies; experience auditing and mitigating risk.
- Strong employee relations and performance management capabilities; coaching and guiding leaders on associate relations and regulatory requirements.
- Global HR experience and cross-cultural collaboration, with the ability to adapt global programs to local practices while maintaining global consistency; comfort working with teams in diverse regions.
- Demonstrated team leadership and people development skills; experience managing HR professionals in Benefits, Training, HRIS, Recruiting; focus on continuous improvement and accountability.
Nice to Have
- Experience with HRIS systems and knowledge of benefits, training, and recruitment processes.
- Familiarity with Hyundai Motor Group global policies and cross-cultural HR practices.
- Prior work in automotive or manufacturing environments is a plus.
