Job title: Head of Financial Planning & Analysis

About the Role The Head of FP&A will own monthly management reporting and provide financial performance insights across ALS Global's business streams. Based in Madrid and reporting to the CEO and CFO, the role drives strategic discussions, budgeting, forecasting, and investment decisions to build a healthier future.

What You'll Do

  • Develop comprehensive monthly management reports and lead financial performance reviews with the CEO, CFO, and Head of FP&A to drive strategic discussions.
  • Provide detailed visibility on business streams’ financial performance and offer insights to enhance outcomes; support preparation of financial data for investor presentations.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks in greenfield investments and CAPEX returns; perform thorough analyses to support investment decisions.
  • Partner with the Lead FP&A to improve the accuracy of divisional forecasts and implement advanced forecasting techniques and tools.
  • Provide managerial accounting support to Executives General Managers (EGMs); assist with financial planning, budgeting, and performance tracking.
  • Support regional mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and capital investment activities; conduct financial due diligence and assist integration planning.
  • Take ownership of financial support for Environmental divisions; provide detailed financial guidance and strategic support.
  • Deliver adhoc reporting to the CEO and CFO as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within a large multinational organization.
  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and management reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to interact with senior management.
  • Proficiency in TM1 and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities; high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment across several geographies and manage multiple priorities.
