Head of Finance

We are seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Head of Finance to lead the company's financial strategy, planning, governance, and performance management functions while serving as a senior leadership team member and trusted adviser to Executive Management. The role combines executive-level strategic leadership with operational financial stewardship to support sustainable growth and international trading operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the company's financial strategy, planning, governance, and performance management functions.
• Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team and act as a trusted adviser to Executive Management.
• Partner across the business to shape corporate strategy, optimize capital allocation, improve commercial performance, and drive operational excellence.
• Oversee financial planning and analysis (FP&A), treasury, trade finance, taxation, budgeting, statutory reporting, internal controls, enterprise risk management, and finance transformation.
• Support international trading operations with expertise in international trade finance, cross-border financial operations, foreign exchange management, and multi-currency treasury.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACA, ACCA, or an equivalent accounting certification is required.
• MBA or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 15 years' progressive finance experience, with at least 7 years in a senior finance leadership role.
• Preferably experience within the energy, oil & gas, logistics, trading, maritime, commodities, or related sectors.
• Demonstrated experience in international trade finance, including Letters of Credit, bank guarantees, import/export financing, foreign exchange management, and cross-border financial operations.
• Proven experience supporting international commercial transactions, multi-jurisdictional financial management, and global business operations.
• Strong experience managing relationships with local and international banks, development finance institutions, investors, and financial partners.
• Proven track record in financial strategy, treasury management, corporate finance, taxation, financial modelling, enterprise risk management, governance, and business partnering.
• Experience leading finance transformation, ERP implementation, digital finance initiatives, automation, and organizational change.
