Head of EventTech

Infopro Digital Services Limited
London, England, United Kingdom Posted Oct 23, 2026
Full-time

About this role

Infopro Digital, the B2B group specialising in information and technology, is looking for an experienced head of event technology on a permanent contract to join its Risk Global division.

About Infopro Digital

Infopro Digital is a global B2B company with around 4,000 employees, annual revenues of over half a billion dollars and a presence in 26 countries. Its market-leading brands serve five professional communities: insurance and finance, automotive aftermarket, construction, retail and industrials. Our brands help clients make informed business decisions and find new opportunities.

About Risk Global

Risk Global is the collective name for our financial services brands: a 300-person organisation with offices in London, New York, Nashville, and Hong. The portfolio includes Risk.net, Central Banking, Chartis Research, 1LoD and WatersTechnology.

We inform senior risk, technology and trading professionals at banks, asset managers, insurers and central banks. Our offer spans news and commentary, research, data, learning, events and marketing solutions, including flagship conference series such as Risk Live and a portfolio of industry awards. The EventTech Manager owns the strategy, delivery and operation of the technology that powers every Risk Global event, including flagship global conferences, awards programmes and webinars. Risk Global serves the financial risk, derivatives, regulation and fintech communities with high-value intelligence, data, events and digital products.

About the role

You will set the event technology strategy for the division, run our primary event management platform, Eventmaker, and make sure the full stack works as one: registration, CRM, badging, streaming, webinars and awards management. Based in our London office, you will sit at the centre of our events, learning, marketing, sales and technology teams, turning business goals into a clear event technology roadmap and delivering it on the ground.

This role suits someone who combines strategic and technical thinking with strong people skills. You will be as comfortable shaping a platform roadmap or leading a vendor review as you are fixing a badge printer or a stream failure minutes before a keynote. Live events are fast-moving and high-pressure, and you will stay calm, solve problems quickly and keep colleagues and clients confident

Responsibilities

Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define and own the event technology strategy and roadmap for Risk Global, aligned with divisional commercial and audience goals.
  • Assess new tools and formats, from hybrid delivery and attendee apps to AI-enabled features, and build the case for adoption.
  • Manage the event technology budget and vendor relationships, including contract renewals, service levels and cost optimisation.
  • Set standards and processes so technology is used consistently across brands and regions.

Platform Ownership

  • Act as the business owner and lead administrator of Eventmaker, our primary event management platform for global conferences.
  • Configure and maintain event sites, registration flows, ticketing, agendas, speaker and sponsor management.
  • Own platform integrations with CRM, badging and on-site check-in providers, making sure data flows accurately end to end.
  • Work with the platform vendor on product development, issue resolution and release planning.
  • Own the webinar and digital streaming technologies used for webinars, virtual and hybrid events, and learning solutions.
  • Ensure a high-quality, reliable broadcast experience for speakers, delegates and sponsors.
  • Own the awards management tools used across Risk Global's awards programmes, from entry submission and judging to results.

Live Event Delivery

  • Lead event technology on site and remotely at conferences, awards ceremonies and live broadcasts, acting as the technical escalation point.
  • Plan and run technical rehearsals, contingency plans and run-of-show checks for registration, badging, streaming and AV hand-offs.
  • Resolve issues in real time under pressure, keeping delegates, speakers and sponsors unaffected.
  • Travel to events when required.

People & Stakeholders

  • Act as the trusted partner to events, production, marketing, sales and learning teams, translating their needs into technical solutions.
  • Train and support colleagues on Eventmaker and the wider event tech stack, building self-sufficiency across teams.
  • Manage external suppliers and on-site technical partners to agreed standards.
  • Communicate clearly with non-technical colleagues, clients and senior stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in technology operations, event operations or digital events, ideally in B2B conferences, media or professional services.
  • Hands-on expertise with event management platforms (Eventmaker, Cvent, Bizzabo, Swapcard or similar), including configuration and administration.
  • Proven experience delivering integrations between event platforms and CRM, marketing automation, payment and badging or check-in providers.
  • Strong working knowledge of webinar platforms and digital streaming technologies (e.g. ON24, Zoom Webinars, Vimeo, StreamYard or similar), including virtual and hybrid delivery.
  • Experience with awards management tools and entry-to-judging workflows.
  • Excellent people and communication skills, with confidence explaining technical topics to non-technical colleagues and clients.
  • Calm, practical and decisive under the pressure of live events, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple events and projects in parallel across time zones.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, including to international events.
  • Desirable: experience with APIs, integration tools or reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).

Benefits

  • This role is based 3 days a week in our London Liverpool Street office, with hybrid working options.

  • We offer a fantastic holiday allowance that increases the longer you stay with the company, and you can take your birthday off – on us.

  • You will have access to a 24/7/365 Employee Assistance Programme, providing support and guidance across all areas of wellbeing and mental health, including face‑to‑face counselling. You will also benefit from access to our extensive learning programmes through our dedicated platform, Generation Infopro.

  • We support giving back, offering paid volunteer days throughout the year where you can contribute your skills and expertise to make a meaningful difference to the lives of others.

What you’ll get:

  • 25 days annual leave (rising up to 30 days)
  • Group personal pension plan
  • Life assurance
  • Interest‑free season ticket loan
  • Private medical insurance
  • Employee assistance programme
