Overview
Amel International Services Limited, a food manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Head of Engineering to lead mechanical, electrical, and automation engineering functions, ensuring equipment reliability, efficient plant operations, and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- • Lead mechanical, electrical, and automation engineering functions.
- • Oversee plant machinery, production equipment, utilities, and engineering infrastructure.
- • Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to minimise equipment downtime.
- • Supervise troubleshooting and repairs of milling, mixing, packaging, conveying, and other process equipment.
- • Manage electrical systems, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, control panels, and industrial automation.
- • Drive root cause analysis and improve equipment reliability and performance.
- • Oversee machinery installation, commissioning, and integration.
- • Manage maintenance planning, spare-parts availability, and engineering costs.
- • Build and lead a competent engineering team.
Requirements
- • B.Eng., or HND in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- • At least 10 years of relevant industrial or manufacturing engineering experience, including leadership responsibility.
- • Strong experience in FMCG, food processing, milling, sugar, salt, flour, or related manufacturing.
- • Proven ability to manage mechanical and electrical engineering functions.
- • Practical experience with process machinery, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial automation systems.
- • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance systems and engineering KPIs.
- • Experience in equipment installation, commissioning, and plant expansion projects.
- • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.
