About the Role

Head of Energy, US South leads all Divisional Underwriting for the South region, with national scope for Oil & Petrochemicals (Downstream) and North America scope for Upstream. The role sets profitability and production goals, accountable for business results, develops strategic client and broker relationships, and represents AIG at industry events. It partners with Global Product Line Executives to drive the long-term energy strategy and serves as a technical authority across Downstream and Upstream within NA Energy. What You'll Do

• Manage all Divisional Underwriting for the South region, with national scope for Oil & Petrochemicals (Downstream) and Upstream coverage for NA.
• Establish, implement, and evaluate production and profitability goals; direct accountability for region and Upstream line performance.
• Develop strategic client and broker relationships; represent AIG at industry events and pursue speaking engagements.
• Collaborate with Global Product Line Executives to drive and execute long-term US energy strategy.
• Serve as a technical authority on Downstream and Upstream within NA Energy.
• Oversee multiple managers and senior underwriters; decision-making on pay, performance, development, staffing. What We're Looking For
• Broad-based insurance industry experience
• Minimum 15+ years of insurance operational management experience
• Knowledge of Energy market segmentation, portfolio management, acquisition and distribution
• Process and system skills
• Strategic orientation, managing vision and purpose, developing organizational capability
• Strong influencing and communications skills and ability to work across multiple areas of company and industries
• Change management and team leadership, as well as external thought leadership Nice to Have
