Why This Role Exists
As part of our continued growth, Zinora is expanding its payment and settlement infrastructure to include digital assets. We are building a dedicated crypto operations function to support cryptocurrency payments from customers and settlements with our international suppliers — and we are looking for a senior professional to design, build, and own this function end to end.
This is a foundational hire: you will define how the company securely holds, moves, and accounts for digital assets, and you will set the operational standard for everything that follows.
What You Will Do
Build and lead the company's crypto operations function from the ground up: processes, policies, tooling, and controls
Manage the company's digital asset treasury: custody setup, wallet architecture, and day-to-day asset movements
Operate and maintain corporate accounts on major centralized exchanges (e.g., Binance, Kraken, Coinbase), including OTC desk relationships and fiat on/off-ramps
Design and enforce secure wallet practices: hardware wallets (Ledger/Trezor), multi-signature setups (e.g., Gnosis Safe), and transaction approval workflows
Execute and oversee crypto-denominated settlements with international suppliers and payment flows from customers
Establish reconciliation, reporting, and record-keeping processes for all digital asset activity, working closely with finance and external accountants
Implement operational risk controls: counterparty assessment, address whitelisting, transaction verification, and incident response procedures
Monitor the regulatory landscape relevant to the company's activities and coordinate with legal/compliance advisors on KYC/AML requirements
Evaluate and select vendors and infrastructure providers (custody, exchange, analytics, tax tooling)
Report directly to the founders with full ownership of the crypto operations roadmap
What We Are Looking For
5+ years of hands-on experience in crypto operations, treasury, or digital asset management, including 2+ years in a senior role
Proven, demonstrable track record of managing significant digital asset flows — you will be asked to walk us through real cases (scale, counterparties, processes you built)
Deep practical experience with centralized exchanges at a corporate level: institutional accounts, OTC desks, API management, fiat rails
Expert-level knowledge of custody and wallet security: hardware wallets, multi-signature schemes, key management, and operational security best practices
Solid understanding of blockchain fundamentals across major networks (Bitcoin, Ethereum, and major L2s/stablecoin rails)
Working knowledge of KYC/AML requirements and comfort operating in a compliance-conscious environment
Experience building processes and documentation from scratch — not just operating within existing ones
High degree of personal integrity and operational discipline; you will be trusted with company-critical infrastructure
Based in the United States and able to work with significant overlap with European business hours
Excellent written and spoken English
Nice to Have
Background in e-commerce, payments, fintech, or international trade finance
Experience with stablecoin-based cross-border settlements
Familiarity with crypto accounting and tax reporting tools
Existing relationships with exchange institutional/OTC teams
What We Offer
Compensation of $120,000 – $180,000 per year, based on experience
