Head of Asset Management

About the Role The Head of Asset Management will oversee the strategic management of all company assets from acquisition through maintenance and disposition. They will develop strategies, policies, and processes to optimize asset utilization, ensure compliance with laws and industry standards, and align asset goals with the company's financial objectives. What You'll Do

• Develop and implement internal audit strategies to enhance governance and risk management, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead cross-functional teams to drive performance and foster teamwork in audit processes.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting for internal audit activities, ensuring efficient resource allocation and high audit quality.
• Ensure compliance by supervising adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, and regularly updating compliance frameworks.
• Analyze market trends and organizational data to identify risks and opportunities, improving internal controls.
• Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, including senior management and the board, with detailed audit findings and strategic recommendations.
• Lead negotiations related to audit management services in line with goals and compliance standards.
• Monitor and report on KPIs for internal audit effectiveness, driving continuous improvement. What We're Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Real Estate Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 8 to 12 years of relevant work experience, with at least 3 years in a senior asset management role or equivalent in Nigeria.
• Professional certifications in asset management or real estate (e.g., MRICS, CCIM) preferred.
• Strong understanding of asset management principles, investment strategies, and Nigeria real estate market dynamics.
• Deep knowledge of Nigerian property laws, tax regulations, and compliance standards related to asset management.
• Strong financial analysis and modeling skills to evaluate asset performance and investment opportunities.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with investors, regulatory authorities, and senior management. Nice to Have
• MRICS, CCIM certifications (preferred)
• MBA is a plus
