Job title: Head of Actuarial Pricing Analytics - North America
About the Role At AIG, we are reimagining the way we help customers to manage risk. Join us as a Head of Actuarial Pricing Analytics - North America to lead a world-class actuarial function within Global Pricing and to drive advanced modelling and AI-enabled pricing solutions for NA lines.
What You'll Do
- Lead and deliver advanced statistical modelling pipelines for North America pricing, collaborating with Product Actuaries and Underwriting; ensure timely delivery of the NA modelling portfolio on AIG’s platforms; oversee non-code pipelines where required.
- Where appropriate, lead Radar modelling delivery for North America with strong governance and documentation.
- Train and support Actuaries in advanced analytics, driving adoption of AI-enabled tools and best practices across North America.
- Enhance and standardize scalable modelling processes across AIG’s NA product portfolio; research cutting-edge algorithmic techniques and evaluate AI/GenAI approaches.
- Take ownership of projects using Agile methods, providing end-to-end technical leadership and maintaining coding standards; manage multiple junior resources.
- Operate as an independent leader at Grade 23, shaping priorities, partnering with senior stakeholders, and broadening the team’s skillset.
What We're Looking For
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in Technical Pricing, Actuarial or predictive modelling.
- Degree in mathematics or computer science or related discipline.
- Very comfortable coding in R, Python with strong software engineering practices (version control, testing, code review, reproducible pipelines).
- Experience with cloud platforms and modelling tools such as Emblem/Radar; production deployment and governance experience preferred.
- AI fluent: practical experience with AI/GenAI tools to accelerate analytics delivery with appropriate controls.
- Experience embedding best-practice AI analytics workflows (model risk, documentation, validation, governance) across North America.
- Expertise in Excel and SQL; strong analytical and communication skills; ability to present complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience working within an Agile framework; ownership of delivery plans and mentoring others.
- Qualified Actuary from a recognized actuarial society or qualified by experience preferred.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience delivering modelling pipelines for multiple product lines (Casualty, Property, Financial Lines, Specialty).
- Experience leading multi-location actuarial teams and managing senior stakeholder relationships.
Compensation & Benefits
- For New York: base salary range $150,000-$185,000; for Illinois: base range $147,000-$185,000 (USD, yearly).
