Job Summary
To provide strategic legal guidance to the organization, ensure regulatory compliance, manage litigation, mitigate legal risks, and protect the company's interests in all business transactions and activities.
Key Responsibilities

Provide legal advisory services to Management and the Board.

Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements and legal documents.

Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and regulatory directives.

Manage litigation, dispute resolution and external solicitors.

Provide legal support for loan recovery and debt enforcement activities.

Review operational policies and procedures for legal adequacy.

Monitor changes in legislation affecting the business. Coordinate corporate governance activities and Board legal matters.

Manage company registrations, statutory filings and licenses.

Identify, assess and mitigate legal risks across the organization.

Qualifications & Experience
-
Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B).

Barrister-at-Law (BL) qualification.
-
Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
-
Minimum of 8-10 years post-call experience. with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Experience in financial services, banking or microfinance industry is an advantage.
