Job Description
Shape and execute the country internal control strategy within approved Group frameworks, translating local business priorities, regulatory obligations and risk exposures into clear control priorities and functional plans. Lead the country control function to strengthen control effectiveness, anticipate material vulnerabilities, direct investigations and remediation, and provide insight that protects organisational value and enables sustainable business performance.

- First Degree in Business Commerce
Experience Required :

- Experience engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior executives, with strong banking and financial services knowledge.
- Proven audit, assurance and risk management experience, including identifying, mitigating and reporting on regulatory risks and compliance requirements.

- Experience assessing risk management practices and ensuring adherence to policies, standards and controls.
- Ability to lead and work effectively with diverse teams across different cultures and business areas.
Key Outputs :
- Shape the country internal control strategy within approved Group frameworks and the country risk strategy, translating business priorities, regulatory obligations and material exposures into clear control objectives, investment choices and a coherent functional agenda.
- Assess the maturity and effectiveness of the country control environment by integrating review results, incidents, investigations, audit themes and management information, enabling the Country CRO and governance forums to understand systemic weaknesses and required responses.
- Anticipate control vulnerabilities arising from regulatory change, business strategy, products, technology, third parties and evolving fraud or conduct patterns, directing preventative actions that improve country preparedness without assuming ownership of Group frameworks or methodologies.
- Direct the country remediation agenda for material and recurring control weaknesses, challenging root causes, ownership, priority and risk acceptance decisions so that corrective actions are sustainable, completed within agreed tolerances and reduce the likelihood of repeated failure
