Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Group's internal audit, risk management, and compliance framework.
- Conduct periodic audits of retail, warehouse, financial, and operational activities to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Identify control gaps, operational risks, and process inefficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead loss prevention initiatives to minimize inventory shrinkage, theft, fraud, waste, and operational losses.
- Oversee inventory control audits, stock verification processes, and inventory transfer monitoring across all business locations.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, health & safety, environmental, and industry regulations.
- Lead investigations into incidents involving fraud, theft, stock discrepancies, and employee misconduct.
- Develop, review, and enforce internal control policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare and present audit, compliance, risk, and investigation reports to executive management.
- Coordinate staff training programs on compliance, ethics, internal controls, and loss prevention.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Procurement, Inventory, Security, and HR teams to strengthen governance and operational effectiveness.
Academic Qualification, Skills and Attributes
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional certification such as ACA or ACCA will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 7–10 years' relevant experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management, Compliance, or Loss Prevention, preferably within retail, FMCG, supermarket or multi-business operations.
- Strong knowledge of internal controls, audit practices, inventory management, compliance, and fraud investigation.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
