About the role

• To lead the finance function, ensuring sound financial management, accurate reporting, effective controls and the financial sustainability of the hospital, in line with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Ensure accurate, timely financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards.
• Establish and maintain internal financial controls, and support internal and external audit.
• Oversee treasury, cash flow, payables, receivables and the revenue cycle (including managed-care billing and collections).
• Ensure compliance with tax and statutory financial obligations.
• Advise management on financial performance, risk and sustainability.
• Lead, supervise and develop finance staff.
• Support procurement and contract financial governance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline. Completion of NYSC, or a valid exemption where applicable.
• Substantial experience in financial management and accounting, including at a senior level.
• Experience leading a finance function and managing financial reporting and controls.
• Experience with audit, budgeting and treasury.

Required skills

• Knowledge of financial management, accounting standards and internal controls.
• Ability to lead financial planning, reporting and audit.
• Understanding of healthcare revenue cycle and managed-care billing.
• Ability to lead and develop a finance team.Strong analytical, communication and reporting skills.
