About the Role LIU is seeking a dynamic leader to serve as Head Coach for its NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer program. The role oversees program management, coaching, recruitment, student-athlete development, academic support, community engagement, and compliance with NCAA and university regulations, with a focus on competitive excellence and student-athlete success.

What You'll Do

• Provide strategic leadership to develop and sustain a competitive Division I Men's Soccer program aligned with LIU's mission.
• Plan and lead all training sessions, match preparation, in-game coaching, and player evaluations.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive recruiting strategy; build relationships with prospective student-athletes and coaches at the high school/club levels.
• Monitor academic progress and welfare of student-athletes; collaborate with academic support to ensure NCAA academic standards.
• Ensure full compliance with NCAA, conference, and university policies; maintain high ethical standards.
• Hire, supervise, and evaluate assistant coaches and support staff.
• Develop and manage the program budget; coordinate travel, scheduling, and logistics.
• Support fundraising and donor engagement to enhance program growth and sustainability.

What We're Looking For

• Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of collegiate coaching, including head coaching or high-level assistant experience.
• Recruiting Acumen: Proven ability to identify, evaluate, and recruit high-level student-athletes capable of excelling academically and athletically.
• Skills: Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; ability to inspire and positively influence student-athletes and staff.
• Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of NCAA Division I rules and regulations.
• Personal Attributes: Demonstrated commitment to holistic development of student-athletes; high ethical standards, resilience, and a collaborative spirit.

Nice to Have

• Previous head coaching experience at the NCAA Division I level.
• Record of competitive success and program-building.
• Experience with fundraising and alumni/community engagement.
• Familiarity with the Northeast Conference (NEC) competitive landscape.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $95,000 - $100,000 USD per year.
• Start Date: As soon as possible.
• Status: Exempt (FLSA).
