Pfizer India is seeking a Field Sales professional based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India (remote work options available) to drive business in the assigned territory. The role focuses on achieving sales budgets, building relationships with medical practitioners and customers, and ensuring compliant, efficient field operations that support Pfizer’s mission of breakthroughs that change patients’ lives.
Responsibilities

Strategic/Policy: Ensure achievement of sales budgets for the assigned geographical territory. Understand and act as a responsible Officer of the Company to meet defined objectives for the position and the team. Review monthly plans for the territory’s sales budget (overall and by product) and collaborate with the District Manager to formulate sales strategy. Conduct sales analytics to identify growth opportunities and provide inputs to validate the sales forecast or rolling sales plan. Help manage salvage net to an acceptable level. Classify practitioners in the territory into A, B, and C in order of importance, with A being the most important. Schedule calls on doctors based on their criticality to sales targets. Deliver promotional messages tailored to each customer’s needs to maximize sales. Adhere to coverage plans, call frequency, and all Pfizer policies and procedures.

Operational / Process: Regularly visit chemists to promote Pfizer products, gather competitive intelligence, and keep the team updated. Maintain contact with medical practitioners, consultants, chemists, and wholesalers. Book orders to ensure product availability and display point-of-sale material in line with the promotion plan. Conduct thorough pre-call planning with District Manager support when needed. Create and implement special doctor visit schedules for launches or campaigns using proposed materials. Provide detailed, one-to-one product detailing on features, benefits, efficacy, and clinical findings. Follow the approved tour program and prepare daily activity reports. Maintain relationships with nursing homes, clinics, and hospitals; collect data on hospital medicine budgets, purchase modes, rate contracts, and committee members. Forward adverse events and product complaints to the appropriate channels per SOPs. Conduct taxi tours, group meetings, speaker programs, and round-table meetings to raise product awareness. Organize disease/patient awareness and screening programs with medical associations. Build and manage relationships with KOLs and key customers. Coordinate with CFA for inventory management. Execute product promotion campaigns for new and existing products. Track hospital purchase trends and organize CME programs with help from HODs, consultants, and hospital administration.

People: Mentor trainee PSOs or other field trainees as assigned. Share learning with team members. Demonstrate Pfizer’s global values and promote team spirit. Adhere to the training calendar and act as custodian of territory compliance matters.

Financial: Ensure achievement of sales budgets. Assist in receivables collection as needed. Ensure proper use of product samples, detailing aids, and promotional materials. Maintain proper accounting and reporting of expenses.
