Job Summary
The Hatchery Manager will oversee all hatchery operations, ensuring efficient incubation, high hatchability, high-quality chicks, biosecurity compliance, effective manpower supervision, and achievement of operational targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily hatchery operations and production schedules.
- Ensure optimal hatchability and chick quality standards.
- Supervise hatchery staff and monitor performance.
- Ensure strict compliance with biosecurity and operational procedures.
- Monitor incubation systems, hatchery equipment, and maintenance activities.
- Analyse hatchery performance data and prepare management reports.
- Manage chick vaccination, processing, and dispatch operations.
- Drive operational efficiency, cost control, and waste reduction.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
Requirements

B.Sc / HND in Animal Science, Agriculture, Veterinary Medicine, or related fields

Minimum of 8 years’ hatchery management experience in a reputable poultry organisation.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Sound knowledge of hatchery operations, incubation systems, and biosecurity practices.

Good analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational reporting tools.
