Job title: Hardware IT Asset Management Specialist
About the Role Join Scotiabank’s Global Technology Services (GTS) Service Assets & Configuration Management to manage the Bank’s hardware IT assets throughout their lifecycle. This role focuses on hardware currency, including maintaining the hardware model database and ensuring records are complete, accurate, and normalized. You will track and report on aged or end-of-life assets and coordinate refresh activities with stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Maintain and normalize hardware model data, ensuring end-of-life information is accurate.
- Identify opportunities to automate and improve model management processes and workflows.
- Create reports, dashboards, and metrics to provide stakeholders with actionable insights on hardware currency status and compliance.
- Perform detailed analysis of model records to identify duplicates, missing information, and other data inconsistencies; liaise with stakeholders to initiate refresh activities.
What We're Looking For
- Strong communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external partners and vendors.
- At least 2+ years of hands-on experience in IT Asset Management.
- At least 2+ years of experience with Asset and Reporting modules within ServiceNow.
- At least 2+ years of experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks.
- At least 2+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI and Microsoft Excel for data modelling, advanced formulas, Power Query, and building interactive dashboards.
- Problem solving, analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science or related field.
- ITIL Foundation v4 certification.
- Completion of ITAM certificates (CHAMP, CHAM) are an asset.
