Hardware Engineer (RF Design / Test & Field Application) Location Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam FORVIA HELLA is a listed international automotive supplier. YOUR TASKS Your Tasks & Responsibilities
- RF Hardware Design & Development
- Design and develop RF-based automotive electronics including:- Key fobs- NFC modules- Smart access control units- Multi-functional body control units+ Support system architecture definition and translate system requirements into HW design.+ Work with technologies such as CAN, BLE, UWB, LF/RF communication in car access systems.+ Perform circuit design, simulation, and schematic/layout reviews using tools (e.g. PSpice, CST, Empire).
- HW Validation & Testing (Focus for Vietnam Team)
- Build up prototypes and samples; perform hardware bring-up.+ Conduct: - RF validation & debugging - Embedded SW validation (interface with HW) - Electrical and functional testing+ Develop and operate test setups, including: - RF measurement equipment - Automated/robotic test systems - CAN-based interconnected control units+ Perform measurement, debugging, and root cause analysis on failures.
- Field Application & Customer Support
- Execute vehicle-level testing and validation at customer sites.+ Analyse field data and provide technical feedback to development teams. - Support front-end customer activities, including: - Demo setups - Application validation - Technical presentations+ Act as HW interface to customers for issue resolution and technical clarification.
- Industrialization & Project Contribution
- Support the full product lifecycle: - Concept & architecture - Development & validation - Industrialization & SOP+ Collaborate with global teams (Germany, other regions) to ensure product readiness for mass production.+ Contribute to acquisition activities as RF/HW specialist.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with: Hardware (HW) teamsSystem engineering (SYS)Software development (SW / Embedded)+ Operate in an international, intercultural environment with strong teamwork culture.
YOUR QUALIFICATION Education & Experience Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in: Electrical Engineering; Electronics / Telecommunications Information Technology Experience in automotive hardware development or RF systems is highly preferred. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of: RF design and measurement techniquesAutomotive communication technologies (CAN, BLE, UWB, LF)Radar / RF systems (advantage) Hands-on experience with: RF lab equipment (spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, etc.)Test system development and automation Familiarity with: Simulation tools (PSpice, CST, Empire, etc.)Embedded systems and HW-SW interaction Proficient in MS Office tools Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving mindsetAbility to work independently and within global teamsGood communication and presentation skillsCustomer-oriented thinking Language & Mobility Fluent in English (mandatory) Japanese is a plus Willingness to travel: Customer sitesGlobal HELLA locationsSupplier visits
