About this role
Job title: HAPS Prototyping Solutions Engineer
About the Role
Synopsys is seeking a HAPS Prototyping Solutions Engineer to provide pre-sale and post-sale technical support for HAPS-based prototyping hardware and ProtoCompiler software, helping customers prototype multi-million gate ASIC designs. The role blends hands-on debugging, customer training, and collaboration with R&D to improve prototyping flows.
What You'll Do
- Provide pre-sale and post-sale technical support for Synopsys HAPS-based prototyping solutions, including HAPS hardware and ProtoCompiler software.
- Work directly with customers to prototype multi-million gate ASIC designs, guiding them through design partitioning, FPGA synthesis, system planning, and RTL debugging.
- Lead technical evaluations of HAPS products at customer sites, diagnosing complex design issues, resolving timing closure problems, and optimizing prototyping flows.
- Develop and deliver customer training materials, application notes, and technical articles based on real deployment experience and customer use cases.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to escalate product quality issues.
What We're Looking For
- You thrive in real-world prototyping projects with large designs and unforgiving schedules, focusing on usability, repeatability, and speed of iteration.
- You approach prototyping like a product, thinking about who will use it next and shaping decisions around usability and repeatability.
- You turn vague goals into crisp plans, set expectations early, and communicate progress clearly.
- You stay curious and persistent when issues arise, and you perform root-cause analysis to reach durable fixes.
- You are deeply collaborative, able to guide customers and align internal teams around a path forward.
- You take ownership, follow through, and leave teams supported and ready for the next milestone.
