Job Title: Hairstylist

Location: Berger, Lagos

Job Description We are seeking a skilled, creative and customer-focused Hairstylist to provide professional hair care and styling services to hotel guests and clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for consulting with clients to understand their needs, delivering high-quality hair services, maintaining excellent hygiene standards and ensuring a comfortable and satisfying customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to understand their preferred hairstyles, treatments and desired outcomes.

• Provide professional hair styling, cutting, washing, treatment and finishing services as required.

• Perform braiding, natural hair styling, extensions, wig styling and other relevant services based on expertise.

• Recommend suitable hair care products and treatments based on client needs.

• Maintain clean, organised and hygienic workstations and equipment.

• Properly clean, disinfect and maintain styling tools and equipment.

• Handle hair products and chemicals safely and according to established procedures.

• Keep up with current hairstyling trends, techniques and customer preferences.

• Maintain accurate records of services and products where required.

• Handle client concerns and service issues professionally.

• Ensure clients receive a welcoming, professional and personalised experience.

• Support the promotion and maintenance of the salon/spa's service standards.

• Consistently deliver high-quality hairstyles and hair care services.

• Maintain strong client satisfaction and encourage repeat bookings and referrals.

• Follow all hygiene, sanitation and safety procedures.

• Maintain clean and well-organised workstations and equipment.

• Complete services within agreed timelines without compromising quality.

• Provide professional recommendations based on each client's needs.

• Maintain a professional appearance, attitude and standard of customer service.

• Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of Secondary School certificate or equivalent qualification.

• Professional training or certification in Hairdressing, Cosmetology, Beauty Therapy or a related field is preferred.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Hairstylist or in a similar salon/spa environment.

• Demonstrable experience with a range of hairstyles and hair textures.

• Experience with natural hair, braiding, extensions, wigs and styling techniques is an advantage.

• A portfolio of previous work may be required.

• Good knowledge of hair care products, tools and hygiene practices.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Salary

N70,000 - N150,000 / Month
