Guidewire Architect Job Description (3-5 Years Experience)

Job Title: Guidewire Architect Experience: 3-5 Years Location: Hybrid/Remote/Onsite (as applicable)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Guidewire Architect with 3-5 years of experience in Guidewire applications to design, develop, and implement insurance solutions. The candidate will be responsible for architecture design, customization, integration, and technical leadership across Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and/or BillingCenter implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end Guidewire solutions aligned with business requirements.

• Provide technical leadership during Guidewire implementations and upgrades.

• Develop scalable architecture for Guidewire applications and integrations.

• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, testers, and stakeholders to define technical solutions.

• Design and develop integrations using REST/SOAP web services, messaging, and third-party systems.

• Review code, enforce development standards, and ensure best practices.

• Perform application performance tuning and optimization.

• Support Guidewire cloud migration initiatives where applicable.

• Create technical design documents, architecture diagrams, and deployment strategies.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

• Required Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in Guidewire development and architecture.

• Strong experience with:

• Guidewire PolicyCenter

• Guidewire ClaimCenter

• Guidewire BillingCenter

• Gosu programming language

• Guidewire Data Model and Configuration

• Experience with Guidewire Integration Framework.

• Knowledge of REST APIs, SOAP services, XML, JSON, and messaging technologies.

• Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE technologies.

• Understanding of insurance domains such as Property & Casualty (P&C).

• Experience with databases like Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.

• Preferred Qualifications

• Guidewire Certified Professional/Associate Certification.

• Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform.

• Exposure to microservices architecture and cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).

• Knowledge of performance tuning and security best practices.
