Job title: Guest Service Associate - Housekeeping
Cleaning and Sanitizing:
- Dusting and Vacuuming: Dust surfaces, vacuum carpets, and clean floors.
- Bed Making: Change bed linens, make beds, and ensure they are neatly arranged.
- Bathroom Cleaning: Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, showers, and tubs; replenish toiletries and towels.
- Surface Cleaning: Wipe down furniture, mirrors, and other surfaces.
Restocking Supplies:
- Toiletries: Replenish items such as soap, shampoo, and toilet paper.
- Bedding and Towels: Ensure adequate supply of clean linens and towels.
Room Maintenance:
- Report Issues: Identify and report any maintenance issues or damages in the room to the supervisor or maintenance department.
- Lost and Found: Handle any items left behind by guests according to the hotel's lost and found procedures.
Guest Interaction:
- Respect Privacy: Follow guest privacy policies and request permission before entering rooms.
- Respond to Requests: Address special requests or needs of guests, such as additional amenities or room adjustments.
Safety and Security:
- Follow Protocols: Adhere to health and safety standards, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Secure Rooms: Ensure that rooms are locked and secure after cleaning.
Inventory Management:
- Track Supplies: Monitor and manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and report when stock is low.
Team Collaboration:
- Coordinate with Staff: Work closely with other housekeeping staff and management to ensure smooth operations and high standards of cleanliness.
Administrative Tasks:
- Record Keeping: Complete checklists and log any issues or special requests as required by the hotel’s procedures.
